Celebrating excellence and achievement in Oregon’s technology industry since 1984

The Oregon TechAwards celebrates excellence and achievement in the region’s technology industry and honors one outstanding Technology Executive of the Year. In addition, five individual industry segment and product awards will be presented during the evening, recognizing recipients for their accomplishments, leadership and commitment to the community and to the industry.

As we celebrate our industry, the night will also provide an opportunity to invest in our future innovators with proceeds from the evening going to support math, science and technology education.

The Award Categories

Technology Executive of the Year
Presented to the Technology Executive whose leadership has made the biggest, positive impact in their industry and to the greater Oregon and SW Washington community.

2012 Technology Executive of the Year

Lifetime Achievement Recipient
The award recognizes an individual whose impact, influence and work within the Oregon Technology community has resulted in significant success of the organization(s) to which the nominee has been associalted and to the region’s technology community as a whole.

System/Hardware Company of the Year
Presented to the System/Hardware Company that has made the biggest positive impact to their industry and to the region. The company’s primary source of revenue and profit is through the design, manufacture and/or sale of hardware products or systems comprised of physical elements.

Software Company of the Year
Presented to the Software Company that has made the biggest positive impact to their industry and to the region. This company’s primary source of revenue and profit is through the design, license and/or sale of software products or systems.

Technology-Service Company of the Year
Presented to the Technology-Service company that has made the biggest positive impact to their customers and to the region. This company’s primary source of revenue and profit is through the fulfillment of one or multiple technology services. Such service may be provided as a subscription, hourly charges or other business models. Examples of such technology services are internet service providers, web development services, IT solution providers and telecom service providers.

Rising Star Company of the Year
Presented to the company that has made significant progress in the past year. This technology company’s growth in the past year puts it on track to make a positive impact in their markets and on the regions technology community.

Nomination deadline is February 17, 2012.


Cool Product of the Year
Presented to the company that has developed, and/or introduced a cool product sometime in the most recent 18 months, and had a significant demonstrable success in the past 12 months. The product can be a hardware, software or technology-service product, which is innovative and has created significant new opportunity for the company.

National Awards Program
In addition to this local awards program, TechAmerica offers the American Technology Awards. Nominations are currently open for this annual event that will take place on June 13, 2012.
