Portland, Ore. – March 12, 2010

TechAmerica Oregon announced today the finalists for the 2010 Oregon Technology Awards. This year’s winners will be announced at the Oregon Technology Awards event on May 6, 2010 at the Portland Art Museum in Portland, Ore.

This annual Oregon business event celebrates excellence and achievement in the region’s technology industry and honors one outstanding Technology Executive of the Year. The Executive of the Year award winner was previously announced February 5, 2010, with this year’s honor going to James B. Johnson, president and CEO of Tripwire Inc. The night will also provide an opportunity to invest in Oregon’s future innovators with proceeds from the evening event going to support math, science and technology education. The 2009 TechAwards program generated more than $12,500 for the Oregon Robotics Tournament and Outreach Program.

“Each year I am impressed by the quality of nominations that are submitted by Oregon’s technology community,” said Jennifer Bosze, executive director, TechAmerica Oregon. “Finalists are chosen by independent committees that carefully examine each nomination. With the caliber of technology to choose from, making a decision is never easy.”
